Your device and photos /
Favorites, app preferences and downloaded files stay on your device. Optional statistics may record that an action occurred, as described below. We do not read your photo library or upload personal photos. Saving a wallpaper to Photos requests add-only permission; exporting a file is another option. You can remove photo permission in system Settings and clear the download cache in Huevia. Exported photos and the Mac wallpaper delivery files are separate from that cache.
Data needed to deliver images /
The service processes a random session identifier, device category (phone, tablet or desktop), App Store account country when available, and short-lived download permissions. Country is used for content availability; no GPS location is requested. Sessions expire after one hour and unused download grants after at most two minutes. Daily cleanup removes these records once they have been expired for at least 24 hours. The application database does not store raw IP addresses. Cloudflare processes network requests, including IP addresses for delivery, security and rate limiting.
Optional usage statistics /
Analytics are off until you explicitly agree. A previous choice to keep them off is preserved. Once enabled, a random installation ID registers your consent; the server stores an HMAC pseudonym rather than the raw ID. Daily, deduplicated records count wallpaper impressions, detail views, favorite and unfavorite actions, successful saves and Mac wallpaper applications, grouped by device platform, App Store country and free or paid access tier. These help improve the collection and discovery ranking. We do not use them for advertising or tracking across other companies’ apps or websites.
Retention and your choices /
Pseudonymous daily records and consent registrations are retained for about 30 days. Aggregate counts without installation identifiers are retained for about 400 days, with daily cleanup. The device queues at most 200 events for up to seven days and tries each at most three times. Turn off “Share usage statistics” in Huevia Settings to stop new collection and delete unsent events. Previously collected daily records expire under the retention schedule; existing aggregate totals cannot identify your installation and are not recalculated on opt-out. You can copy the statistics reference in Settings and include it in a privacy request. No reference is created for a device that has never consented.
